BEACON - The Fishkill Creek Watershed Committee will unveil a management plan for restoring and preserving the environment of the watershed June 6.

The committee of volunteers has worked with the Dutchess County Environmental Management Council, with money from the state Hudson River Estuary Program.

The management plan identifies threats to the creek's health and strategies for protecting and improving the 193-square-mile watershed in southern Dutchess County and Putnam County.

The management plan will be presented from 6-8 p.m. at the Rivers and Estuaries Center on the Hudson, 199 Main St.
