Re: State Rte. 376 intersection with Robinson Lane and Lake Walton Road, East Fishkill

Dear Mr. Dennison,

We believe that safety measures for the public should be given due consideration. Therefore we would like to make a request for a much needed left turn lane and left turn signal addition to the traffic light in place at the above intersection.

At particular times during the day, the traffic is backed up on Rte. 376, a two lane highway. Motorists making left turns onto Lake Walton Road and Robinson Lane are held up at the traffic light. Through traffic motorists pass on the right (off the road), thus contributing to the traffic foul up. All motorists are at risk. Students are at risk. (School buses must use Rte. 376 as there are two schools in the area.)

Thus we believe this to be a most propitious time to do something about this hazardous intersection. Land is available at the intersection now and this may not be true in the near future; as development in the area is accelerating, the use of Rte. 376 will increase proportionately.

Sincerely,

Paul S. Wise
