I finally got to spend a little time with Bill when I was producing the IBMA Awards show in 2002. We asked Bill to give the speech inducting the Lilly Brothers into the Hall of Fame. I met with him at the Galt House hotel in Louisville and asked him to write out his speech so we could put it on the teleprompter. He hadn't at that point written anything out so he took some hotel stationery from the drawer and wrote it out for me. - Wayne Rice, January 2021
