Obituary

I met "The Tooter" (I knew him as "Tootie") in May 1969
along with the Stone Mountain Boys. I'd met Byron Berline
at Ft. Polk, LA, and went with him on a musical weekend trip
to Baton Rouge and Walker with the Stone Mountain Boys,
also meeting Luke Thompson and Allen Shelton.

Up until the last few years I'd been in contact with Tootie
and heard some great stories.
He was the last surviving member of the Stone Mountain Boys.
