Carpenter Road median closing on TaconicHOPEWELL JUNCTION -- The Carpenter Road median on the Taconic State Parkway is set to be closed today following the morning rush hour, state officials said.It is the fifth of six planned closing on the parkway. State Department of Transportation officials describe the closures as a temporary measure taken while a review of needed improvements on the Taconic is completed. A report with recommendations on the highway's future is due in the fall. Hosner Mountain Road in East Fishkill is expected to be closed in the next two weeks. |
