Recorded by Ken Landreth Carlton Haney's Camp Springs Festival in Reidsville, NC Monday, September 1, 1969 (Playback starts after partial download.) This is the first appearance of JD Crowe and the Kentucky Mtn Boys at a bluegrass festival. At this point, the Kentucky Mtn Boys were working five nights a week at the Red Slipper Lounge at the Holiday Inn-North in Lexington Kentucky and drove to Camp Springs after their Saturday night show. They had recently recorded the 'Bluegrass Holiday' album with Red Allen on guitar and lead vocals, but Red had left the band. Red Allen was also booked at this festival and appears on the last half of each of these sets as a guest.
