Bill Keith & Jim Rooney, Gerdes Folk City, 1965
Recorded by Marc Horowitz

In May of 1965, I got permission from Bill Keith and Jim Rooney to
record a set of theirs at Gerdes Folk City. I thus lugged my brother's
reel-to-reel tape recorder AND my banjo on the subway from the the wilds
of Brooklyn to the Village and captured a bunch of great stuff from Bill
and Jim, along with David Grisman sitting in.

Watch Marc tell the story at the 2015 Grey Fox Keith Style Banjo Summit
